Based in Melbourne, Australia, Twelve Foot Ninja are an experimental rock band embracing an array of genres ranging from metal to dub to funk. They formed in 2008 and soon after released their debut EP New Dawn. They have gone on to release their second EP, Smoke Bomb, in 2010 and their debut album, Silent Machine, in 2012. Their music and lyrics are inspired by a story written by guitarist Stevic about a ninja's mission to restore balance in a world headed for catastrophe.
