Tihuana is an alternative rock band formed in 1999 in São Paulo, Brazil. The band's sound presents influences of hard rock, punk rock, hardcore, rap metal and reggae. The band's current line-up consists of Egypcio (vocals), Léo (lead guitar), Ramón (bass), and P.G. (drums). They have gained prominence outside Brazil recently due to their part in the soundtrack of the movie Tropa de Elite, in which they played their song of the same name, that remains their biggest hit. Tihuana is currently one of Brazil's biggest acts in rock.
