Thunderstone

Thunderstone is a power metal band hailing from Finland. The band formed in the early 2000 by guitarist Nino Laurenne and in 2002 they released their self-titled, debut album. Though critics shrugged it off as just another Stratovarius clone, the band pressed on and recorded two more full length albums, The Burning and Tools of Destruction, the latter released 2005. Thunderstone shows a lot of promise, and fans of melodic metal should keep a look out for these guys in the coming years. Thunderstone's next album, to be titled Evolution 4.0, is due for a March 2007 release.
