The Yardbirds were one of the first innovators of modern rock. Spawning the careers of some of the world's most infuential guitarists, the band remains influential to this day. Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton were all members and all of them have since been elevated to guitar hero status.
Although the group disbanded after 6 years of existence in 1968, they eventually reformed in 1992, be it without any of the now-legendary guitarists. Since the reunion, the band released one album: 2003's Birdland. Currently, The Yardbirds consist of Andy Mitchell (lead vocals/ harmonica), Ben King (lead guitar), Chris Deja (rhythm guitar/vocals), David Smale (bass) and Jim McCarty (drums/vocals).
