The One Up Downstairs, was Mike Kinsella's band before starting American Football. The band consisted of Kinsella, Steve Lamos and Dave and Allen Johnson. They're considered to be indie/emo, much similar to the style of American Football and Cap'n Jazz. The band only made one self-titled EP before breaking up.
