The Frumpies were a garage/noise punk from Washington DC. Initially a side project of members of the legendary riot grrrl bandBikini Kill, The
Frumpies created a unique sound in the riot grrrl scene, carrying a lo-fi/noise punk sound all throughout theircareer, with no intentions to ever polish
their sound with a high-tech studio. The Frumpies virtually disappeared in late 2000,and nothing has been heard about them since.
