After Mike Munro left The Thirty Years War, The Fall of Troy wasconceived.

The Fall of Troy draws from the prog roots of The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In and the grindcore elements of bands suchasConverge and The Blood Brothers. Guitarist Thomas Erak is known for his extremely fast style of playing and his use ofeffectspedals, often being compared to Omar Rodriguez of the Mars Volta. The Fall of Troy is often characterized by thealternatingvocals of Erak and bassist Tim Ward, Erak's vocal extremes, ranging from a soothing singing voice to a harshshriek, and hisalmost excessive use of effects.

In November 2007, bassist/vocalist Tim Ward left the band and was replaced by Frank "Black" Ene of the band "...OfStalwartFads..

In February 2010 the band announced that they were breaking up.

In 2013 the band reunited. They are currently touring and a new album is in the works. « hide
