The Fall of Troy draws from the prog roots of The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In and the grindcore elements of bands such as Converge andThe Blood Brothers. Guitarist Thomas Erak is known for his extremely fast style of playing and his use of effects pedals, often being comparedto Omar Rodriguez of the Mars Volta. The Fall of Troy is often characterized by the alternating vocals of Erak and bassist Tim Ward, Erak'svocal extremes, ranging from a soothing singing voice to a harsh shriek, and his almost excessive use of effects.
In November 2007, bassist/vocalist Tim Ward left the band and was replaced by Frank "Black" Ene of the band "...Of Stalwart Fads..
In February 2010 the band announced that they were breaking up. « hide |
