When Hot Water Music disbanded in early 2006, Chuck Ragan went on to a low-key solo career, whereas the remaining three members George
Rebelo (drums), Jason Black (bass), and Chris Wollard (guitar/vocals) recruited ex-Discount guitarist Todd Rockhill, and started The Draft, a slightly more melodic proposition, with Ragan's raspy vocal delivery being replaced by Chris's more melodic tones, and a more loose rocking feel to the music.
