The Crimson Armada

Hailing from Westerville, OH, the Crimson Armada strives to do what many other bands don't. The lyrical content is fast pounding from vocalist Saud Ahmed, (whom also accompanies at times with synthesiser) consisting of both intensely high wails, and powerful lows that are sure to enthrall any typical metal. This is where the band wavers. While most "death" metal bands in this genre focus on blasphemy and sacreligion, the Crimson Armada writes about their faith, and the trials and tribulations each of them face following their religion. Interestingly enough, they don't necessarily consider themselves christian.

Following vocalist Saud, comes the axe welders themselves Dan Hatfield, and Kyle Barrington providing intricate, and fast pounding guitar riffs that are sure to hurl any eager audience into motion. Providing support with guitar, fellow stringsman Chris Yates on bass. Joining the band roughly a year after the bands formation, Yates offers unique, but at the same time perfectly fitting low end to the bands thunderous, and thrash-like songs.

Finally, to top the band is David Puckett on drums. The bands Black Dahlia Murder inspired drums, set the band into a fast paced frenzy of rhythm and guitar that unite forming and epic onslaught of pure metal mayhem.

In part the band strives to do what other bands in this genre don't: Have a good time, live life drug, alcohol and substance abuse free, and follow one's faith, despite the hardships, and often unsure times in ones life. « hide
