The Blood Brothers were a Seattle-based post-hardcore outfit formed in the Eastside suburbs of the city in 1997. The quintet released five albums during their 10 year existence that covered multiple styles of music, characterized by dueling vocals with rapid stylistic shifts, energetic rhythmic work, and nonstandard guitar chords. Earlier work had roots in math core and punk while later work became more abstract, often described as post-hardcore. They’ve worked with a myriad of producers, such as Ross Robinson, Guy Picciotto, and John Goodmanson. The band officially broke up in November 2007 over the band’s website. Each member of the band has since moved on to new musical projects.
