Once instrumental on 2008's "Absolute Zero", conceptually handling the beginning, life and end of the universe, Shreveport, Louisiana progressive band Tetrafusion have added vocals on 2010's "Altered State" and brought their fusion influences to the lead in their distinctive style. Scarcely related to traditional progressive metal or rock in the Dream Theater style, Tetrafusion unites unusual, intoxicating harmonies with dramatic mood changes and technical musicianship borrowed from the djent movement. Everything and nothing specific at once, Tetrafusion is well ahead of the progressive pack.
