Tempa is a garage and dubstep label run by Ammunition Promotions, founded by Neil Jolliffe in 1999. It is based in East London’s Truman Brewery and is considered one of the pioneering labels for the dubstep sound.
Since its formation, Tempa have released records from a number of dubstep’s top names and was accountable for the biggest dubstep hit commercially, with the cross-over ‘Night’ by Coki and Benga in 2007. Label founders Ammunition Promotions are also known for their iconic dubstep club night Forward>> which is held at Plastic People, Shoreditch.
