TISM (This Is Serious Mum) are a Melbourne-based avante-gard band who combine elements of garage punk and techno to make a brand of rock which is influenced heavily by the dada art movement. Lyrically, their style of humour changes between being very juvenile, to being witty and dry. Their stage shows show the seven members dressed in ridiculous matching costumes, with a balloclava or some other mask covering their face.
