Supercar was a Japanese alternative rock band that initially formed in 1995. The group was critically acclaimed for their unique style, that blended elements of shoegaze, indie and electropop. The group also had minor mainstream success, with their 2002 album, "Highvision", being their highest ranking album, reaching number 11 on the Oricon charts. However, despite their acclaim, Supercar ended up splitting in 2005. In 2011, Supercar members Koji Nakamura and Miki Furukawa reunited to form the indie pop group, Lama.
