In '97 the band fell apart as Taylor left the band to join Slipknot. The other members went their separate ways and Root eventually joined Slipknot too. Then in 2000 old friend/guitarist Josh Rand approached Taylor with some songs he was writing. With the completion of the music the duo noticed it to be so close to the music the original Stone Sour wrote. With that they reunited the band after almost a decade of separation. In 2002 Stone Sour released their self-titled album and are currently in the studio working on their second planning to be released in the late summer of '06, the new album is called Come What(ever) May, and features the band's first no. 1 hit single "Through Glass" and another single entitled "30-30/150." « hide
