Soul Asylum is an alternative rock band formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1983. They are best known for their double-platinum album Grave Dancers Union (1992), and their Grammy Award-winning single Runaway Train. As of 2006 they have sold over 3 million albums in the United States.
