After that decison was made the name had to go. the name changed to snakebite assault. Jerrad switched to Guitar and Vocals and DJ on Drums and Percussion. In the ranks Joey Proffitt on Rythum guitar and Gage Powell on Bass. the group started practing immediatlly after Christmas. The group took a more serious turn towards a more Thrash and Progressive Metal sound. Gage was shortly fired because he didn't practice. In January Snakebite started practing every day for 2 hours. In late January started running out of places to practice and we practiced in an unsupervised classroom, and they caught SBA on videotape moshing and pretty much trashing the place. We were suspended for rocking under no supervision. We came back in Febuary. We immedatlly started playing again. Blair Cooley, also from Merchant Row, joined the band as Bassist. Joey Proffitt was fired from diffrent musical tastes. In March we started to prepare for our second major gig: Princeton Middle Last Day festival. We recored a demo of reworked covers such as Survivor's Eye of the Tiger, Lipps Inc's Funky town, and our RoadRash anthem, On the Road (FATT LIPP). We recorded it on Cassette format and we sold few at first, but around April we started to sell more and more. Incouredged we wrote tons of our own material. In may we decided to start preparing material for an EP. « hide
