Slaughter was a Canadian thrash metal band from Toronto, Ontario, formed in 1984 and disbanded in 1989. Their demos and sole full length album, along with similra efforts by fellow countrymen Sacrifice and Infernal Majesty are credited to have had some influence on the nascent death metal scene. After breaking up, guitarist/vocalist Dave Hewson formed Strappado, a more straightforward thrash metal band.
