Skillz (formerly known as Mad Skillz) is an underground rapper and producer from Virginia. He is critically acclaimed for his whimsical lyrical style, and
has "ghostwritten" songs for various rappers, including P. Diddy, Mase and Will Smith. He controversially addressed his ghostwriting past on the 2000
single "Ghostwriter", which he is probably most known for. In 2012, after over two decades of building a remarkable career in the rap scene, he
decided to retire from the rap scene. He released his last rap album in 2014, "Made in Virginia", although he currently remains active as a producer
and DJ.
