Sharan Q was an alternative/pop rock band from Japan. Sharan Q helped skyrocket frontman-turned-producer, Tsunku, into
super-stardom, and were one of the biggest Japanese rock bands in the 90's. They initially broke up in 2000, and reunited in
2006 with the release of their newest single, "Aruiteru" (which achieved moderate success), although the current status of the
band is unknown. Tsunku is currently now head of the humongous Japanese pop corporation "Hello Project." The rest of the
band members currently work for the label behind the scenes. Since Tsunku was diagnosed with esophagus cancer and had his
vocal chords removed, Sharan Q's future looks pretty bleak at the least.
