Sevendust is an Atlanta, Georgia-based hard rock band that emerged in 1994 under the name "Crawlspace". Eventually, a west coast group
claimed the rights to that name forcing them to change it to Sevendust. In 1997, they released their melodicly heavy self-titled debut featuring
thrash-like drumming from one of modern rock's greatest drummers, Morgan Rose, and the R&B rooted vocals of Lajon Witherspoon. Their
music ranges from soft and melodic to fast-paced and heavy. Sevendust gained large commercial success after the release of 2001's
Animosity and over the course of their career they have sold over 4 million records in the United States.
