On a beautiful evening in Parc Lafontaine (Montreal) in 2011, Simon Landry and Anne-Marie Campbell joined forces and promised to write a series of songs for a vibrant, emotional, and luminous project named Secret Sun.
After writing for a full year, and with the help of producers Francois Lafontaine and Sebastien Blais-Montpetit, the band made their vision a reality and recorded their EP Cold Coast. They released the EP on Bandcamp for the masses.

In 2013, the band played shows in various bars on St-Laurent and was part of the MEG and M for Montreal programs. Another highlight from Secret Sun’s short history is their sold-out Pop Montreal show with Thus Owls on the Ubisoft rooftop. Echoes of the show rumbled through the backstreets of Mile-End and made their way into the pages of Brooklyn Vegan, La Presse, La Bible Urbaine and Pitchfork.
A first music video, a first headlining show, a release party, and other great moments are in store for Secret Sun this year. Secret Sun’s first full-length record is expected to be available around the end of summer 2014 on Bonsound Records.
