Poema Arcanvs (or Poema Arcanus) is a Doom/Death Metal band from Santiago, Chile. Originally formed under the name "Garbage", the band
then changed name to "Garbage Breed" before becoming Poema Arcanvs.
The band has often been hailed as unique to the Doom genre, due in as large a part to their nationality as their experimentation - the vocals
have a notable accent and are even sometimes in Chilean, and other influences on style are apparent although more subtle. In recent years the
band has become increasingly progressive, although they have not strayed from doom metal.
