Pink Lady were a Japanese pop/disco group that first formed in 1976. The duo released their debut album, "Pepper Keibu",
tohuge success, and peaked at number 2 on the Oricon charts. The duo are not only known for their impressive release
history,but also for their critically panned US series, "Pink Lady & Jeff", with comedian Jeff Altman. Since the show was panned
aroundthe states, a great deal of pressure was put upon the girls, and they eventually went back to Japan. Pink Lady paved a
hugepath for other Japanese artists to admire and follow, selling over 13 million records in Japan alone.
