Paul Wall and Chamillionaire was a collaboration between the two emcees that first came to existence in 1998. Friends since
childhood, Paul Wall and Chamillionaire eventually got the attention of the iconic Texas rap label Swishahouse, and became
official signees to the label in 1999. In 2002, Paul Wall and Chamillionaire released their first collaborative album "Get Ya Mind
Correct", which had rave reviews in the underground rap scene, and was even nominated Indie Album of the Year by the
legendary Source Magazine. However, relations between Paul Wall and Chamillionaire soured, and they disintegrated in 2004.
One more album was subsequently released after their falling out, "Controversy Sells", which was repeatedly postponed for a
year beforehand.
