Om

Om is a stoner doom band formed by the rhythm section of the disbanded stoner metal giant Sleep, Al Cisneros onvocalsandbassand Emil Amos (Chris Hakius until 2008) on drums. Their music is similar in structure to Tibetan and Byzantinechant andis rich inrhythm andmelody. Their music and lyrics lift off at the beginning and slowly mutate giving a feeling ofevolution insideeach song.

Also, 'Om' is the Hindu syllable known as the natural vibration of the universe, often used as a mantra (a rhythmicritualwordthatHindus use and repeat for a long time when getting in trance mental states).
