“Unfavorable” is Old Man Wizard’s first studio album, consisting largely of the songs used in their first year of live performances. The music is influenced by a wide variety of genres, including rock, metal, pop, classical, contemporary, folk, theater, andsoundtracks of video games and films. The title of the album, “Unfavorable,” was second in line to be the band’s name, and wasthematically related to the influence of Spaghetti Westerns in the music and lyrics.

“Unfavorable” was produced and engineered largely by the band, with help from Brian Rumsey, who also mixed and mastered themusic. Brian’s mixing and production credits include Blood Dancer, The Dread Crew of Oddwood, Hydraudio, and Mursic. Theartwork was done by San Francisco-based Valin Mattheis, and the ominous photograph in the insert was taken by the Rev. FlipCassidy. « hide
