Often the Thinker

Often the Thinker was started by Drew Lundberg, with assistance from Tim Street, in the summer of 2006 in Madison, WI. He started working with multiple ideas, a 4-track, as well as other musicians. Shortly after, they began brainstormin.

Often the Thinker was started by Drew Lundberg, with assistance from Tim Street, in the summer of 2006 in Madison, WI. He started working with multiple ideas, a 4-track, as well as other musicians. Shortly after, they began brainstormin.

After a one year hiatus, Drew decided to pick the project back up, starting to finish what he promised to himself. With a slew of musical help from many different friends and artists, He finished mixing the record, aptly titled 'History,' in December, 2008, having copies printed immediately after.

'History' is 9 tracks, just under an hour, of catchy horn lines, layered guitars & intricate drum sections wavering in an "extremely engaging collection of instrumental-shoegaze euphoria" (-Newdust Indie Blog). Certain tracks are built like a finely-tuned jam-session, while others remain intact in a more concrete, structured sense.

OTT has been writing and demoing new material with original and newly added members throughout '09, and hope to have a record out by spring '10. In comparison to 'History,' the tracks have become more solidified, in both spectrums of intensity and captivity. The Thinker is always open to collaborate with other artists and musicians to further explore the type of work that they're continuously creating, yet have firmly established. « hide
