Nightshade is described as a generic melodic death-metal band from Sweden with some smaller influences from the balck-metal genre. They were formed in 1996 and they released one album, titled Wielding the Sythe, before they disbanded. Two of the former members, Daniel Kvist and Christer Pederson are currently part of symphonic power metal band Dragonland.
