Necromandus were a British rock band who were discovered and then managed by Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi. With his support, the band entered the studio in 1973 to record their album Orexis of Death. However, both Iommi and Vertigo, the label, lost interest in the band, and the album was shelved until 1999 when it was finally released. Iommi actually plays guitar on part of the title track Orexis of Death. Sadly, the only member of the band that is still alive is the drummer Frank Hall as the other three band members have died. The band's lineup was Bill Branch - vocals, Barry Dunnery - Guitars, Dennis McCarten - Bass, and Frank Hall - drums. The band were referred to as the "Second Sabbath", but their music has little resemblance to the music of Black Sabbath.
