Inspiteof drummer Jeremiah Green quitting before the recording of Good News For People Who Love Bad News , this saw themhita whole new demographic, thanks in part to the success of single Float On, and appearances on shows such as The O.C.Theband also have the dubious achievement of having been mentioned by name in a United States Supreme Court ruling, withJusticeDavid Souter mentioning them in the case of MGM vs. Grokster, perhaps removing any remaining indie credibilitythat theymay have had left. In 2006, frontman Isaac Brock began workingwith former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr on sometracks for theirnew album. They ended up liking each other and Marr agreed to tour with the band supporting their new album. The album's title isWe Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, and it will be released on December 19th, 2006. « hide
