Merzbow is the name used by Japanese musician Masami Akita for most of his records. Merzbow has released a large amount of albums most of them are considered noise albums. He has done many collaborations with bands such as Boris and sun o))). Merzbow's sound has varied greatly between albums. Masami Akita also writes although most of his books have not been translated into English, he is an open supporter of animal rights and related to PETA.
