Melvins play extremelyheavy, slow, and sludgy Black Sabbath style-metal that features the superb drumming of the only
other constant member of theband, Dale Crover. Theband has had a revolving series of bassists over the years most
notably Lori "Lorax" Black and Matt Lukinwholater formed Mudhoney. Though the Melvins only ever garnered a cult
following, they influenced a number ofgreat grungeand metal bands over the years such as Soundgarden, Alice In Chains,
