Matisyahu

Matthew Miller (born June 30, 1979, West Chester, Pennsylvania), more commonly known as Matisyahu, is a Hasidic Jewish reggaeartist.

He is a member of the Lubavitch Hasidic Community in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York; a community made famous byitsleader, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson. Matisyahu was not brought up as an Orthodox Jew, however he turned to OrthodoxJudaismaround 2001 and began playing with the Jewish band Pey Dalid.
