Prog-indie-pop band Mansun (vocalist Paul Draper, guitarist Dominic "Chad" Chad, bassist Steven "Stove" King and drummer Andie Rathbone) emerged from Chester UK in 1997 with their #1 album Attack of the Grey Lantern, which caused a stir by knocking a much-hyped Blur comeback off the #1 slot and being named by Colin Greenwood as a possible contender to OK Computer for that year's Album of the Year accolades. Following the disappointing sales of their subsequent albums Six and Little Kix, the band split in 2005.
