The band was formed in Ibaraki in 1997. The original member line-up was Tatsurou on vocals, Miya on guitar, Hiro on bass and Satochi on
drums. In the following year the band released 2 demo tapes. In February 1999, the band had their first live at Mito Lighthouse. Bassist Hiro
left the band and was replaced by Yukke, a childhood friend of Miya. In December, their first CD album "Antiiku" was released.

and inn January 2001, MUCC puts out their first full album "Tsuzetsu". A remastered and remixed version of this album was later released
in June.
In 2002, MUCC starts their own label named "Shu", under Danger Crue records and release the album Homura Uta which becomes a
sucess in Japan and puts the spotlight on the band.
Including "Tsuzetsu" and "Homura Uta" the band has in total released 10 full-length albums the latest one beeing "Karma" which was
released October 6th in 2010.
The band has gotten some attention overseas as well and has played on both European and Northamerican tours, in Japan they have played
on big arenas as the "Nippon Budokan".
MUCC has a hard rock sounds similiar to a lot of other Japanese rock bands but also mixes in different elements like blues and metal. Their
style of music has changed quite a bit during their career.
Both MUCC's label and the vocalist Tatsuro has helped other bands out to get attention, most notably the band "Girugämesh" which has
