John McLaughlin

One of the most acclaimed, diverse, and virtuosic musicians of the latter half of the 20th century, there isn't a melodic pebble, harmonic stone, or rhythmic boulder this English guitarist from Yorkshire has neglected to turn over and completely immerse himself in.

Of course, his achievements are a little bit easier to comprehend when one considers he has played with Miles Davis, Tony Williams, Ravi Shankar, Jimi Hendrix, Zakir Hussain, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Sting, Carlos Santana, Paco De Lucia, Elvin Jones, and countless countless other titans of sound.
