Jessica Simpson is an American Pop singer who came to prominence in the late 90s as one of a number of teenage pop-idols, however
her music was often in the shadows of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Since marrying (and divorcing) fellow pop-star Nick Lachey
she has become internationally recognised for the reality TV show 'Newlyweds' and has revived her singing career. She has also
branched into acting, starring alongside Johnny Knoxville in 'The Dukes of Hazzard' remake. Her music is probably best described as
"bubble-gum" pop with soul influences.
