Jake Shimabukuro is a ukulele virtuoso from Honolulu, Hawaii and creates music with touches of Jazz, Pop, Rock, Hawaiian, and World.
Jake was a former member of the trio, Pure Heart, until after 2000, Jake decided to pursue his own solo career. given a ukulele at the age of 4, he was eventually called "The Jimi Hendrix of Ukulele".
He eventually released an instructional DVD, "Play Loud Ukulele".
Shimabukuro has done instrumental covers such as the classic Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and even "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic.
He lists his influences as Van Halen, George Harrison, Yngwie Malmsteen, Bruce Lee, and Carlos Santana.
