Founded by Nicke Andersson after the break up of The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric is a rock band largely influenced by 70's arena acts such as Kiss and Alice Cooper. Mainly a solo affair during writing Nicke has enlisted old friends such as Dregen (Backyard Babies), Dolf de Borst (The Datsuns), Thomas Eriksson(Captain Murphy), Neil Layton and others to help out play and write parts.In 2010 they released their self-titled debut album which got a positive reception from old fans and critics alike.The second album called "Pop War" arrived in February of 2012.The current live line up consists of:Nicke - Guitar and Vocals Dolf de Borst - Bass and backing vocals Tobias Egge - Guitar and backing vocals Thomas Eriksson - Drums and percussion
