Former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown is recognized as an influential indie pioneer. The sound he and the Stone Roses developed his influenced numerous contemporaries including Oasis, Kasabian, The Arctic Monkeys, The Verve, and Coldplay. Following the breakup of The Stone Roses in 1996, Brown transitioned into a successful solo career which has produced 5 solo albums, all of which have achieved significant chart success in the UK. His most recent release was 'The World is Yours' in 2007
