British thrash metal band that split up after releasing two albums. Was overshadowed by other bands at the time, given that the thrash scene was oversaturated by the time Hydra Vein came to be. Jon Balfour seems to have been heavily influenced by Kerry King, often emulating his soloing style. Hydra Vein also did some slower songs, such as "Harlequin", which, oddly for a thrash band, is where they seemed to shine brightest.
