Sludge/doom metal from Boston, Massachusetts, Grief presented a seminal take on Sludge that was significantly slower overall than anything
the genre could offer at the time, inspired by the work of the likes of Black Sabbath, Eyehategod and Saint Vitus. Though having a consistent
release career throughout the 90's, the band would break up in 2001 and reunite several times over since, though never mentioning the
potential for a new album. They broke up once more in 2009, seemingly for good.
