Cee-Lo was the most visible member of the group prior to his departure in 2000 (among other projects, he is now recording in collaboration with DJ Danger Mouse as Gnarls Barkley), while Big Gipp has made several rounds on other Dungeon Family members' albums, and T-Mo and Khujoform a duo within the group called The Lumberjacks.

Despite being relatively forgotten in this day and age, Goodie Mob, particularly their dayview album "Soul Food", is one of the most important acts to ever come out of the southern hip-hop scene, with them being one of the progenitors of the soulful and chillout sound that would go on to inspire other importants acts such as UGK, and even OutKast, and they were the ones who popularized the term "Dirty South". « hide
