is an American rock guitarist who rose to fame in the 1980's with the Grammy-nominated hair metal group Dokken. The group was one of the most prominent of the '80s, having sold more than ten million records world wide. Lynch's trademark tiger-stripe guitar and tapping ability set him apart from the countless other gaudy axe-wielders of the time. In 1989, Lynch also formed his own hard rock group, Lynch Mob, which is similar in style to Dokken but with more edge. Outside of both these bands, Lynch has released a handful of instrumental solo records that have been moderately successful in guitar circles.
