"Mom, the Bananas were Green". The single was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Denton, Texas. After roughly a year of being instrumental,
both Aaron Vernon and Luke C/D began to experiment with adding vocals to their songs. Both members incorporate harsh growling vocals
derived from their death metal roots, and traditional clean singing as well. The first release of theirs to feature vocals was their EP titled, "Blue
Liquid Lips", a 30 minuted song split into 5 movement and divided by tracks. The EP was entirely self recorded and produced by Aaron Vernon
at his home. The vocals on the EP are sparse, but in-between vocal movements are elaborate instrumental sections and sound sampled
speeches from politicians and public speakers. (an idea that the band claims to have been influenced by the post rock group, "From Monument
to Masses") As of now the band has been recording a full length album set to be released late 2012. They have recorded demo versions of
some of these tracks which are available on their bandcamp page. « hide |
