Fear Me December

"There are bands who take their music seriously, and then there are bands who are willing to move to another continent to give themselves a shot. Fear Me December are one such band." - Scribes Of Metal. "There are bands who take their music seriously, and then there are bands who are willing to move to another continent to give themselves a shot. Fear Me December are one such band." - Scribes Of Metal. If we have to describe Fear Me December and their music, this is a band committed to bring back the classic, old school nu metal with modern sounds. The band was born in 2012 in Argentina. Back then, it started as a power trio with Victoria (Vocals and Bass), Valentin (Guitar and back vocals) and Emiliano (drums). In 2013, after releasing the first EP called "Who Cares?" with the single “Goodbye To You” and a 26-gigs-tour around Argentina and Uruguay, even opening for Swedish band “Diablo Swing Orchestra”, the band signs a publishing deal with Tate Music Group to distribute the EP in the US. That year, Fear Me December starts to get attention in the USA, getting radio airplay in several stations, getting reviews from diferent blogs, webzines and being featured in magazines like Vents. After the first EP succes and the hard work that opens doors in many places, Fear Me December decides that it’s time to move on and relocates in Manchester, UK, where they aim to fly higher than ever. In 2015 the band begins to tour the UK, playing in many cities and festivals like “SOS Festival” and “Wigan Live”. They also start getting radio airplay in stations like Salford City Radio, Dee Rocks Radio Sadly, even when they were taking giant steps, Emiliano decides to go back to Argentina due to personal reasons and the band is left a duo. Without stopping to take a single breath, the band starts to write new songs for what it would be their new and first LP called “Between Violence And Silence”, which was finally recorded by Matt Ellis in March 2016 in Axis Studios. The album features Chris Inman on the drums. The first single “When This Is Over” is released along a tour on the north and midlands, with a promising year ahead, where Nu Metal takes back the stages. "Whether “Between Violence and Silence” will prove too deep for the genre fans is a matter for conjecture but Fear Me December are to be applauded for putting heart into a genre that has long since lost its soul. Count me in as a fan." « hide
