I was torn between classifying this band as either Power Metal or Folk. Technically, I think
Folk Metal best suits the description of Elvenking, a five-piece out of Italy, seeing as they
combine the overall sound of Power Metal with a distinct, layers flair of romantic Folk music.
This Folk element really shines through with the violin accompaniment of Elyghen, possibly
one of the most skilled violinists in metal (albeit, he is one of few).
The thing that impresses me most about Elvenking is their multi-dimensional music that
