Egypt Central was formed in 2001 by vocalist John Falls. After generating buzz in their hometown of
Memphis, the band caught the attention of former Lava Records CEO Jason Flom. Impressed with their
demo, he immediately offered the band a record deal after seeing their live performance. Their debut
album was recorded with renowned producer Josh Abraham in Los Angeles. The band was dropped by
Lava in April, 2005, and due to a shakeup within the company the album was never released.
On October 5, 2007, EGYPT CENTRAL officially signed a record deal with Fat Lady Music/ILG
distributed by ADA. The original CD has been remixed and remastered with new artwork and was
released to retailers nationwide on January 15, 2008 featuring their new single "You Make Me Sick".
