Deeds of Flesh

Deeds of Flesh is a brutal death metal band from San Luis Obispo, California which was formed in 1994. They are known for founding and running the Unique Leader Records label which consists almost exclusively of death metal bands. Their music can be described as a combination of the blinding, furious tempo of grindcore-era Napalm Death with the merciless, take-no. prisoners death metal style of Suffocation. Their music revolves around highly complex atonal riffing, complete with fast tremolo picking and breakdowns. The band has set somewhat of a standard for modern brutal death metal.
